David B. Shevlin, 85, of Harwick, passed away Monday, April 10, 2023, in his home. He was born July 2, 1937, to his late parents, Pete and Emily Wilcox Shevlin, and has been a longtime resident of the community. Mr. Shevlin served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of The Springdale VFW and Our lady of Victory/Guardian Angel Parish. After his discharge from the Air Force, he worked as an OTR driver for ECM where he eventually retired. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and especially cutting the grass at camp and spending time with his family. Survivors include his son, David (Debbie) Shevlin, of Apollo, daughter, Elizabeth Lovelidge, of Penn Hills, son, Jeffrey (Dena) Shevlin, of Alaska, and son, Richard (Barbara) Shevlin, of North Carolina; grandchildren, Lisamarie Grum, Jeff Grum, Melissa, Britney and Shanna Shevlin, David Patrick and Joey, Nicholas and Emily Shevlin and Raymond (Nicole) Lovelidge; and great-grandchildren, Lyla Grace, Melody Rose, Corrine, David Patrick, Dominick, Allison, Asher, Deaklin, Callum, Hunter, Bailey and Camilla. Besides his parents, Dave was also preceded in death by his wife, Catherine, daughter, Cathleen Weiland, and granddaughter, Katlyn. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2023, in the CHARLES B.
