David C. Harrison

Dave Harrison, 71, of Cheswick, passed away surrounded by family on April 9, 2026.

Dave was born on November 1st, 1954, to Clarence and Gertrude Harrison of Sharpsburg. After Dave graduated from North Catholic in 1972, he went on to study education at Slippery Rock.

After graduating college Dave began his career of 35 years working as a highway foreman for PennDOT.

In 1981, Dave and Lynne began their love story. Dave and Lynne went on to have 2 children, Jason and Megan.

In 2010, Dave retired and spent his time with his 6 grand kids, Tyler, Grant, Austin, Devin, Gracie, and Sophie. When he wasn't teaching them chess or spoiling them with candy, Dave was enjoying Pittsburgh sports and Notre Dame. Dave would complete the New York Times crossword daily.  

Dave was predeceased by his father, Clarence Harrison, mother, Gertrude (Hughes) Harrison, and sister Judy Quaglieri. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lynne (McGivern), Harrison, son, Jason (Chelsea) Harrison, daughter, Megan (Jim) Rak, and 6 grandchildren.  His siblings, Ginny (Mike) McCormick, Janny (Clyde) Leach, Chris Brechel (Hank), and Jeff (Shirley) Harrison

Visitation will be held at Charles B. Jarvie Funeral Home in Springdale 801 Pgh. St. on Tuesday April 14th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday April 15th, at 10am in Our Lady of Victory Church in Harwick followed by burial at St Mary's Cemetery Sharpburg.  Everyone is asked to please meet at church.
