Dale T. Branzet 87, of Lower Burrell, Formerly of Springdale, Passed away July 30, 2024, in Presbyterian Senior Care, Oakmont. He was born September 5, 1936, to his parents, the late Ted and Emma Kastl Branzet and has been a longtime resident of the Valley. Mr. Branzet graduated from Springdale High School and later worked for Westinghouse where he traveled to Korea, Japan, and the Philippines before retiring. He played on the Westinghouse Softball team in the Industrial League and won 3 state championships and finished in the top 10 in two world championships as well as the MVP in the first state championship. Dale was an avid golfer and past president of Hillcrest Country Club. He belonged to St. Margaret Mary Church in Lower Burrell where he was a eucharistic minister, usher and funeral assistant. Dale was preceded by his wife Fay Gensbigler Branzet and four wire hair terriers named Snoopy
Friends will be received Sunday August 4, 2024, from 2-6pm in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC. 801 Pgh. St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday the 5th at 10am in St. Margaret Mary Church with burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lower Burrell.
