Connie Vuckovic

Connie (Mellon) (Edgington) Vuckovic, 70, of Springdale, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2023, at Family Hospice in Canterbury, with her family by her side. Connie was born April 29, 1953. She spent her early years in Montana and came to Pennsylvania in the 1970s. She was a homemaker and she enjoyed taking care of her flowers outside every summer, keeping a tidy house, doing the daily crossword puzzle and taking care of her indoor cats. She especially enjoyed keeping up with what her children and grandchildren were doing on a daily basis, going to their sporting and social events and being, Nana. Connie is survived by her husband, Stan; her daughters, Tawnya (Larry) Fox, Nikki Alexander and Tara (Gordon Taylor) Jordan; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by her brother, Danny Edgington, of Montana; her sister, Peggy (Bob) Dion, of Montana; and Rom Mellon, the father of her children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Carol Edginton; her son, T.J. Mellon; and her brother, Jerry Edgington. Our family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at UPMC Natrona Heights Burtner Road, St. Margaret's Hospital and Family Hospice for all the care and compassion that they gave to Connie. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday Aug. 5, 2023, in THE CHARLES B.
