Clara Ann Umek

Clara Ann (Modolo) Umek 87, of Harwick, passed away at home Wednesday September 25, 2024.  She was born March 12, 1937, to her parents, the late John and Antonia Ianes Modolo and was a longtime resident of our community.  Mrs. Umek graduated from Ken-High School in 1955 and worked for G.C. Murphy until her retirement.  She was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed oil and water painting, arts and crafts, Ukrainian egg decorating, knitting and crocheting art and was a great pastry chef as well.  Surviving her are:

Brother John (Mary) Modolo of Va.

Niece Antonia Bailey

Nephew Ray (Dianne) Modolo

Niece Clara (Timothy) Heston

Numerous great-nieces and nephews

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband William P. Umek; nephews Roy Modolo Jr. Jon Modolo and Jay C. Modolo.

Services and interment are private for her family.  Donations may be made to Family hospice 300 Northpointe Cir. Suite 305 Mars Pa. 16046-7862. Or to the charity of your choice.
