Catherine Galore, 93, of Harmar Township, passed away on January 17, 2025, to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born in Italy in the town of San Nicola da Crissa (Calabria) to the late Joseph and Catherine Galloro Manduca. Catherine was a homemaker and a member of St. Francis of Assisi church (now part of Christ the King parish) and the Christian Mothers of St. Francis. Catherine had an infectious smile that would warm anyone’s heart. She enjoyed watching the Steelers, bowling, and cooking and baking for her family (like any Italian mother/grandmother). Everyone loved her pizzelles. Of the many things she enjoyed, she received the most joy from making and sharing a meal with her family. She was proud of her Italian heritage and enjoyed Italian rum cake and an occasional cannoli. She is survived by her loving son, Tony (Monica) Galore, of North Hills; daughter, Joanna Galore Mack, of Sharpsburg; grandchildren, Joseph (Jaimy), Christopher (Nicole) and Stephen Galore (Colleen), Danielle Schreiber (Jennifer) and Justin Mack (Breanna); 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Friends will be received from 1 to 4p.m Friday, January 24, 2025, at the CHARLES B. JARVIE CHESWICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1607 Pittsburgh St., A Christian Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 2025 in St. Joseph Church (Christ the King Parish). Everyone is asked to please meet at church. Burial to follow in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township. Please visit www.jarviefuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ the King parish.
