Catherine Carrigan, 84 of Springdale, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026.
Born on December 26, 1941, Catherine was the beloved daughter of the late Lawrence and Margaret (Grubis) Martin. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 49 years, Raymond “Butch” Carrigan; her brother Lawrence Martin; and her son-in law, Eugene Rossi.
Catherine is survived by her loving daughters, Catherine (Robert) Vickers, Diana (Mark) Alese, Eileen Rossi, and Barbara (Milton) Bauer. She is also survived by her brothers, Bernard (Lynn) Martin of Tucson, AZ. And David (Marilyn) Martin; her sister-in-law, Georgia Martin; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Lt. Matthew Alese, Andrew Alese, Jennifer, Stephen, Jessica, Zachary, Megan, Tyler, Bobbi-Jo, and Diane, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.
Catherine was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness and generosity touched everyone who knew her. She expressed her love through cooking and baking, always preparing favorite meals requested by her family and grandsons. Christmas was especially dear to her heart. Her holiday baking began each year in early November, and the beautiful cookie trays she lovingly prepared and delivered to family and friends became a treasured tradition. Those thoughtful gifts and the warmth she shared through them will be deeply missed.
Catherine will be remembered for her unwavering love of her family, her caring spirit, and the countless memories she created around her table. Her legacy of love, generosity, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
Friends are invited for visitation on Tuesday June 23, 2026, from 5 until 9pm in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME Inc. 801 Pgh. St. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday the 24th at 10am. in Our Lady of Victory/Guardian Angel Parish with burial to follow in Deer Creek Cemetery. Everyone is asked to please meet at church.
