Candice Anne "Candie" Delo, 43, died peacefully Monday, Oct. 11, 2021, surrounded by her family, after a courageous fight with MS and covid-19-related complications. Candie was born June 28, 1978, at Magee Women's Hospital. She was raised and lived in Harwick, graduated from Cheswick Christian Academy, and went on to become a nurse. While she was employed as a nurse, she worked in geriatrics and loved giving comfort and care to the patients she was taking care of. After her career as a nurse, Candie became a baker and loved to make cakes and cupcakes. She gave a cupcake to her children every year for their birthdays; it was their birthday morning tradition. She is survived by her husband, Clayton Delo; her four children, Anthony Ord, Savanah Ord, Sebastian Ord and Cameron Polly; her parents, Timothy and Jennifer Sweet; her sister, Billie (Shannon) McConnell; niece, Rhiannon McConnell; maternal grandmother; four aunts three uncles; and 17 cousins. Candie's services will be private for her family members. Arrangements were entrusted to THE CHARLES B. JARVIE FUNERAL HOME INC., 801 Pittsburgh St., and a celebration of life is being planned. In lieu of flowers, we thought you might be interested in supporting this GoFundme, https://gofund.me/7cb91a02. Even a small donation could help Doreen Chatkin reach their fundraising goal. And if you can't make a donation, it would be great if you could share the fundraiser to help spread the word. Thanks for taking a look, and serious consideration of covid-19 vaccination in her honor. www.jarviefuneralhome.com.
