Benjamin John Trusiak Sr., of Cheswick, died Thursday, April 14, 2022, in VAMC, Aspinwall. He was born July 7, 1936, in Russellton, to the late Paul and Sophia Stutska Trusiak and was a resident of Cheswick for 50 years; a coal miner for the Superior mine, Russellton; a veteran of the Korean war serving in the Marines. Benjamin was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed working in his garden. Survivors are his wife, Connie Mauk Trusiak of 59 years; his daughter, Holly Ann (Jeffrey Alan) Hoole, of Sarver; and two sons, Benjamin John (Dena Marie) Trusiak Jr., of O'Hara Township, and Shawn Paul Trusiak, of Cheswick; grandfather of Courtney, Christopher, Amanda, Ashley and Tristen; and brother of Joseph (Janet) Trusiak, of Sarver. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by eight siblings, Katherine Kopanicak, Sophia Yurcak, Paul Trusiak, Theodora Kurtik, Carl Trusiak, Adelaide Hockmuth, Bernard Trusiak and Betty Lou Browning. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 18, with services following visitation at CHARLES B JARVIE CHESWICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1607 Pittsburgh St. Cheswick, PA 15024.
