Barbara Nypaver

Barbara Nypaver of Harwick,  passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026, at Mercy Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Renovo , Pennsylvania, Barb built a life centered on faith, family, and unconditional love. She was the beloved wife of the late Joe Nypaver, with whom she shared many years of marriage and a growing family that became the center of her world.

Barb was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Nypaver, and her beloved daughter, Susie Lydzinski.

She is lovingly survived by her children: Joe (Jan) Nypaver, Paul (Linda) Nypaver, Nancy (Harry) Lynch, Karen (Paul) Blasko, Mark (Tammy) Nypaver, Tom (Carol) Nypaver, Beth (Scott) Parks, Larry Nypaver, and Patty (Victor) Solar, along with her many grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Barb will always be remembered for the deep love she had for her family. She found joy in classic country music, never passed up the chance to wear or admire her favorite color—green—and was affectionately known for always being cold, no matter what the season. Her warmth, kindness, and caring heart touched everyone who knew her, and the memories she created with her family will be treasured for generations to come.

Family and friends will be received at the CHARLES B. JARVIE CHESWICK FUNERAL HOME INC. 1607 Pgh. St. on Thursday, July 16 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Victory Church/ Guardian Angels parish in Harwick on Friday, July 17th at 12pm.   followed by a luncheon at Our Lady of Victory church hall. 

Barb’s legacy lives on through the family she loved so deeply. Though she will be greatly missed, her love, strength, and the countless memories she leaves behind will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
