Arlene Mae Shoop

Arlene Mae Shoop passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, March 28, 2023, at Grace Manor. She was welcomed to Heaven in the waiting arms of her parents, Harry E. Shoop and Mae L. Shoop, and her brothers, Dale C. Shoop (Frances) and Harry E. Shoop Jr. (Barbara); along with her sister, Karen A. Shoop. Arlene was born June 14, 1936, in Springdale. She is survived by her brother, Kenneth V. Shoop Sr. (Bonnie); and sister-in-law, Frances M. Shoop (Dale). She is also survived by her nieces and nephew, Elizabeth M. Patterson (Thomas), Ethel M. McCafferty (William), Lynn A. Zigarovich (Martin), Susan M. Blanchflower and Kenneth V. Shoop Jr. (Karen); and great (great) nieces and nephews, Christopher M. Patterson (Heather), Lynn Marie Patterson, William C. McCafferty, Grayce F. McCafferty, Martin C. Zigarovich, Morgan E. Blanchflower, Shane C. Blanchflower, Aidan T. Blanchflower, Erica Patterson and Cody Patterson. Arlene was a lifelong resident of Springdale. She was a lifetime member of the Springdale United Presbyterian Church. She had a deep faith and passed along her love of God by teaching Sunday school for many years. Arlene was a member of the Eastern Star. She worked at Westinghouse in their accounting department for many years. Arlene enjoyed taking trips, going shopping and spending time with her best friends, Josie and Jackie, with whom she loved dearly. She enjoyed working outside in her rose garden, playing bingo, spending time with family and watching classic movies. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 3, 2023, in THE CHARLES B.
