Anthony "Andy" Olczak Jr., 70, of Cheswick, passed away at home, Friday, Sept. 30, 2022, with his wife at his side. He was born Sept. 9, 1952, to his late parents, Anthony and Dolores Jean Olczak, and had been a lifelong resident of the Valley. He graduated from Knoch High School and worked for R.I. Lampus Co. as plant manager for 35 years before retiring. Andy was of the Christian faith and was a decades-long motorcycle enthusiast, to say the least. He also enjoyed boating, golfing, target shooting and racing RC cars with family and friends. He belonged to the Springdale V.F.W., Krivian Club, Masons Pollock Lodge, Scottish Rite and Syria Shriners. Andy was a tinkerer and always kept busy doing something. He loved life and had a way of making everyone and everything feel special. It was a gift to know him and he will be forever missed. Surviving him are loving wife of 30 years, Marian "MiMi "Olczak; stepdaughter, Jennifer (Brian) Helwig, of Mars; stepdaughter, Jessica Pulliam (James MacNeil), of Kennedy Township; daughter, Tancie (Fred) Tlutyk; son, Anthony III (Dusty) Olczak; son, Nathan (Mary Beth) Olczak; sister, Roxanne (Tom) Dumencic, of Saxonburg; and brother, George Olczak, of Saxonburg; as well as many loving grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his in-laws, Marge and John Hussar; stepson, Jason Pulliam; and brother, John "Mike" Olczak. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, 2022, in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC., 801 Pittsburgh St., where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be private for his immediate family.
