Anna R. Cerf, 86, of Springdale, passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022. She was born and raised in Astoria, N.Y., on Aug. 2, 1936, daughter of the late Sebastiano and Antonia (Palma) Frontino. She retired from Harran Coachways of Suffolk County, Long Island, after 20 years of dedicated service, where she met her soulmate, Andy Cerf. Her love of family took both her and her late husband, Andrew R. Cerf, to Pittsburgh, where for 23 years she enjoyed working with her son, Dr. Sebastian Frazetta, at his chiropractic office in Springdale. Anna was a devout Catholic and belonged to Our Lady of Joy Church/Holy Family Parish, where she volunteered. She was a kind-hearted and generous servant who loved cooking for her family. Nothing gave her more happiness than caring for her beloved grandchildren, who referred to her as "Nanny." She is survived by her children, Frazetta: Joseph (Maria), Michael (Carol), Sebastian (Lynda), Cerf: Marylou Buckley (Billy), Andrew (Marilyn), Joseph and James (Dawn); 17 grandchildren, Lauren, Mickey, Nicholas, Anthony, Matthew, Lori, Karen, Michael, Kristen, James, Ashlee, Samantha, Christopher, Edward, Christin, Lori and David; many great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews, D'Alleva: Tom (Leanne), MaryAnn Fassula (John), Linda Scherer (Mark), Anthony (Donna), Crescimanni: Mary Brannon (Darin), John, Mark, Paul, Robert Davis and Matt O'Donnell. Anna was preceded in death by children, Francis (Cerf) Santillo and Virginia (Cerf) Hooper; sisters, Mary D'Alleva and Josephine Crescimanni; brother, Phillip Frontino; nieces, Annie (Crescimanni) Davis and Lisa (Crescimanni) O'Donnell; and nephew, Michael D'Alleva. Her family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022, at the CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC., 801 Pittsburgh St. Everyone is invited to celebrate Anna's Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022. Please meet at church. Friends may come at 9:30 a.m. to Our Lady of Joy Church in Plum with burial to follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery in Monroeville.
