Ann Pollock, age 93, of Harmer Township, passed away on Monday December 22, 2025, at her home with her family.
Ann was born on November 11, 1932, in Curtisville, PA to the late Charles and Helen (Rusinko) Petrulak. Ann married husband Albert on June 22, 1957, and they were married for 68 wonderful years.
Ann was a graduate of Ken High and a faithful member of St Francis of Assisi and later, Our Lady of Victory, Roman Catholic Church. In later years, she watched mass faithfully from home.
The joy of Ann’s life was her family – her husband (who used to say that they were in “assisted living” with each assisting the other!), her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved them deeply.
Ann was known for her hospitality – always ready with food and beverages to make even the unexpected visitor feel welcome. She enjoyed playing cards, with her husband, and as a member of two card clubs, one of which lasted over 50 years! She also was a good bowler and participated in a bowling league.
Ann worked as a secretary both prior to having children and then again when her children were grown. She retired from the SEUI Local 585 in Blawnox, PA.
Ann is survived by her husband Albert, children Andrew Pollock, Barbara (Cole) Kurtz, and Beth (Patrick) Gavaghan. Also surviving are grandchildren Hannah (Jason) Calorio, Hunter (Emily) Pollock, Hayden Pollock, Laura Kurtz (aka Arlo Clark), Ryan Kurtz, Nora Gavaghan, and Daniel Gavaghan. Great grandchildren include Carson and Lydia Calorio, and Faye and Aubrey Pollock. Nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her brother John.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Allegheny Health Network Hospice. The care Ann received in her final few days from visiting nurses Jessica, Alexis, and Nancy was truly a blessing.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, December 26, 2025, from 9am until 11am at the CHARLES B. JARVIE CHESWICK FUNERAL HOME INC. 1607 Pittsburgh Street. A blessing service will commence at 11am, followed by burial at Deer Creek Cemetery. www.jarviefuneralhome.com
