Ann (Fick) Kusbit, 97, of Cheswick, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, in UPMC St. Margaret’s Hospital, with all her loving family at her bedside. She was born on September 18, 1928, in Harwick, Pennsylvania to her parents, the late Michael and Mary (Paskorz) Fick and was a lifelong resident of the Harwick and Cheswick communities.
Ann was a graduate of Springdale High School, Springdale Pennsylvania, and became a lifelong caregiver for her family members and her four children. Ann was a wonderful wife, mother, and sister. She loved spending time with family, children, and grandchildren. Ann especially loved the holidays and Christmas in particular. Ann loved her Bichon Frise dogs. Ann was known for her great cooking; including, her homemade halupki, pierogies, and ravioli soup. Ann enjoyed shopping with her daughters and was also known as the mom who taxied her children and their friends to all their events.
Ann was the last of the “great generation’ on both sides of her family. She is survived by sons, Carl (Anita) Kusbit of Cheswick, Pennsylvania and Michael (Kathryn) Kusbit of Panama City Beach, Florida; daughter, Barbara (Ron) Weiss of Uniontown, Pennsylvania; grandchildren Jennifer (Steve), Jeremy (Heather) Elliott, Matthew, and Anastasia; great grandchildren Bailey, Morgan and Jeremy; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; her daughter Sandy Kusbit; her brothers Andrew “Sam” Fick, Peter (Lily) Fick, John (Arabelle) Fick; and her sisters Alice (Nick) Storz, Francis (Peter) Novich, and Helen (William) Powell.
Friends will be received from Noon-5 PM on Sunday, January 4, 2026, in the CHARLES B. JARVIE CHESWICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1607 Pittsburgh Street, Cheswick, Pennsylvania, with a mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 AM Monday, January 5,2026, at Our Lady of Victory Church/Guardian Angel Parish. 1319 Low Grade Road, Harwick, Pennsylvania with a burial to follow in Deer Creek Cemetery, 902 Russellton Road, Cheswick, Pennsylvania.
