Albert P. Gaydos Jr., 75, of Harwick, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Dec. 26, 2022. He was born Dec. 11, 1947, to his parents, the late Albert and Margaret Betush Gaydos, and has been a lifelong resident of the Valley. Mr. Gaydos graduated from Springdale High School, Class of 1965. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. After his discharge, he worked for Verizon, where he eventually retired. Albert was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed collecting records, especially oldies, and frequenting the Krivan Hall Association with his friends. Surviving him are his high school sweetheart, Joanne Hawse Gaydos; daughter, Amy (Douglas) Lazorick, of New Kensington; brother, Dan Gaydos, of New Kensington; sister, Nancy Gaydos Connley, of Mercer; brother-in-law, Bill Hawse; also many loving nieces nephews and cousins. His family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022, in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC., 801 Pittsburgh St., where a blessing service will commence at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30, 2022, with burial to follow in Deer Creek Cemetery.
