Albert M. Biernesser, 82, of Cheswick, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2022, in UPMC St. Margaret Hospital. He was born Sept. 28, 1939, to his parents, the late Arthur and Martha Lebo Biernesser, and had been a lifelong member of the community. He worked as a superintendent for the Public Works Department of Fox Chapel for 47 years, where he eventually retired. He was a member of Christ the King Parish for many years and enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching NASCAR. He especially relished spending time with his family and grandchildren. He will be sadly missed. Surviving him are loving wife of 62 years, Marie (Jones) Biernesser; son, Stephen (Dorotha) Biernesser, of Virginia; daughter, Ginny Conway, of Virginia; daughter, Carol Shamblin, of Texas; son, Wayne (Kristen) Biernesser, of Virginia; sister, Mildred Frohlich, of Pittsburgh; brother, Arthur (Eleanor) Biernesser, of Dorseyville; grandchildren, Steve Jr., Tom, Zack, Alex, Emilee and Maija; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Geraldine and Flora Mae. Friends are welcome for visitation from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022, in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE CHESWICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1607 Pittsburgh St. and 9:30 a.m. before Mass. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday , Sept. 19, in St. Joseph's Christ the King Parish on Dorseyville Road, with burial to follow in St. Mary's the Assumption Cemetery, Middle Road.
