On December 22nd, 2025, Alan “Bruce” Celo of Indianola, passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones. Alan was an avid soccer player, fan and local hall of famer. He was a member of the U.S. Navy and a beloved son of Augie and Helen Celo, who preceded him in death. He’s been the lifelong and closest friend of his younger brother, Robert Celo and his wife Charlotte, to whom he is survived by. Of all his life’s accomplishments, Alan was genuinely a kind and gentle soul, with the greatest sense of humor. He had a love for nature and an admirable love and respect for animals, especially his companion cat, Sonny. Alan taught by example to live life honestly and above everything, with deep compassion for all. He was a devout Catholic and a true family man, who described his 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren as his “greatest joys in life”. All of whom he is survived by and are deeply saddened by his passing: daughter Amanda Kemp and husband David Kemp, daughter Angela Lamberson with Mark Heresco; grandchildren Jacob Lamberson and wife Fernanda, Daisy Lamberson with Michael Martin, and Clint Lamberson. Alan also touched on the lives of more family members and dear friends, too many to name. He offered caring guidance, overwhelming generosity and fierce friendship. He really will be lovingly missed. ‘It’s ok, you can rest now’, easy and in eternal peace, you have earned your place in heaven. His family will receive friends Friday January 2, 2026, at CHARLES B.
