Warren E. Richards, 54, of Springdale, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2018, at home. Mr. Richards was born June 3, 1964, to his parents, his mother, Judith Wilkosz Richards, and his father, the late Walter "Bill" Richards Sr., and has been a lifelong resident of the community. Warren graduated from Springdale High School and served his country in the Air Force for 10 years, and one of those years spent in Korea. Warren previously owned and operated a delicatessen in Brackenridge for many years. He was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed playing bingo, reading voraciously and decorating and designing flower arrangements. Surviving him are his mother, Judith Wilkosz Richards, of Springdale; loving husband of nine years, James Savnik; twin brother, Walter (Cindee) Richards, of Utah; brother, Jeffrey (Susan) Richards, of Lower Burrell; daughter, Heather, of Illinois; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as his beloved cats, Twittles and Halo. Besides his father, Bill, Warren was also preceded in death by his sister, Wendy Richards, in 2013. Friends are invited for visitation from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2018, in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC., 801 Pittsburgh St., where blessing services will commence at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018. Burial will be private.
