Veronica Schetley Obituary

Veronica V. (Dougan) Schetley, 78, of Harmar, passed away Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, at home. She was born Oct. 9, 1939, in Sharpsburg, and was a lifelong resident of the Valley. Vera worked for Allegheny Valley Bank for 25 years in Pittsburgh, where she eventually retired. She loved retirement. She enjoyed reading, as well as watching science fiction movies as well as westerns. She also enjoyed all animals. Vera adored her neighbor's dog, Dahlia, always feeding and spoiling it. Surviving her is her loving husband of 34 years, Edward J. Schletley. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until time of services at noon Monday, Feb. 19, in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE CHESWICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1607 Pittsburgh St. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. www.jarviefuneralhome.com.
