Tressel F. Fundy

Tressel F. Fundy, 85, of Harmar Twp., passed away at home on Saturday August 19, 2017.  He was born in Harwick on April 11, 1932 and has been a lifelong resident of the community.  He attended Springdale High School and served in The U.S. Army.  Mr. Fundy was a proud member of The Teamsters Local #249 for many years where he was a truck driver.  Tressel belonged to The Springdale Sportsman’s Club, Pa. Trappers Association, National Trappers Association, Allegheny County Sportsman’s League and the Amateur Taxidermy Association of Western Pa.  He enjoyed being in the outdoors as much as possible and was a great hunter, fisherman and trapper and always had been a strong advocate for sportsman’s rights.

Surviving him are his loving wife Avis M. (Wargo) Fundy

Sons Kevin Fundy of Springdale

         Eric (Linda) Fundy of New Kensington

Grandchildren Eric, Bill and Lance

Great-grand Sophia, Maxwell and Penelope

As well as many cousins

Preceding him is his mother Julia Fundakowski Rubinosky

Friends will be received on Tuesday August 22nd from 2-4 and 6-8pm in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE CHESWICK FUNERAL HOME INC. 1607 Pgh. St.

Services to commence on Wednesday at 12:30pm in the funeral home and burial to follow in Deer Creek Cemetery.
