Rita Mae (McAtee) Herzer

Rita Mae Herzer, 89, of Sarver, formerly of Brookline, passed away Wednesday March 20, 2018 in Rosebrook Assisted Living, Sarver where she was a resident for the past 10 years.  She was born November 10, 1928 to her parents, the late Francis and Camilla O’Connell McAtee.  Mrs. Herzer was a former member of Our Lady of Loretta Parish in Brookline.  She was a huge Pittsburgh Penguins Hockey fan.  Rita was an outstanding Avon Sales representative for many years and achieved top 10 sales status. Mrs. Herzer also worked for DiCesare Engler Productions for many years.  She helped with community projects along with city council to help achieve goals for the city.

Survivors include Loving husband of 68 years Clarence J. Herzer

Son Regis (Faye) Herzer of CA.

Son Joseph Herzer of GA.

Daughter Donna Herzer of LA.

Son Richard (Kitty) Herzer of GA.

Son Mark (Janice) Herzer of GA.

Brother Francis (Edna) McAtee

Daughter Barbara Herzer of Cheswick

22 Grandchildren and 25 Great-grandchildren

Besides her parents, Rita was also preceded in death by her daughter Linda Madden and a brother Regis McAtee.

Her family will receive friends on Saturday March 24^th from 2-4pm and 6 until time of vigil services at 7:30pm in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE CHESWICK FUNERAL HOME INC. 1607 Pgh. St.  Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Cheswick.  Special thanks to everyone at Rosebrook who truly made a difference in her life.
