Phillip M. Unik

Phillip M. Unik of Springdale, joined his Savior in heaven Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Phillip was born Sept. 8, 1946 to the late John Sr.. and Marie Wilson Unik. . He served in the Air Force as an air policeman and Sergeant. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and doing house projects and loved his retirement after 43 years at the former Westinghouse. Surviving him are daughters; Michele (Carl) Bracken of Pittsburgh, Renee' (Eric) Johnson of North East Pa., and Maria (Thomas) Theisen of New Jersey; seven grandchildren; and siblings John Unik Jr., Paul (Dorothy) Unik, Helen (Ed) Bayne, Margaret (Sonny) Trumble and Ed and Joe Unik. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded by James Unik, Anna Jean Kutchko and Mary Unik.  Phil was strong and resilient, with an entertaining  sense of humor. He will be forever missed. Friends will be invited for visitation from 11 a.m. until services at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2019, in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC., 801, Pittsburgh St. Burial will follow in Deer Creek Cemetery.
