Michael James Oravitz

Michael James Oravitz, 57, of Cheswick, passed away Friday September 21, 2018.  He is the loving son of James and Rose Marie Spencer Oravitz.  Michael belonged to St. Alphonsus Church in Springdale where he attended for many years with his parents.  He enjoyed pushing lawn mowers and loved playing with electric trains.  Michael also had a knack for spinning basketballs. He especially loved going to McDonalds.

Parents James and Rose Marie Oravitz of Harwick

Sister Colleen (Richard) Venglish of Cheswick

Brother Paul (Heather) Oravitz of Plum

Three nieces Amanda Venglish, Taylor Oravitz and Alyssa (Roy) Flemm

1 nephew Cole Oravitz, 1 great niece Ellie Mae Flemm

Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents and two uncles.

A special thanks to Wesley Family Services and the caretakers at the Campbell House for the excellent care provided throughout the years.

Thank you to his friends and peers at Wesley Family Services.

He will be deeply missed by all who loved him and enjoyed his special sense of humor.

His family will receive friends Monday September 24^th from 3-8pm in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC. 801 Pgh. St.  Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday the 25th at 10am in St. Alphonsus Church, Springdale, with burial to follow in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Twp.  Memorial contributions may be made in Michael’s name to The Wesley Family Services 104 Beta Dr. Pgh. Pa. 15238.
