Joseph D. Musco, 70, of Cheswick, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018, at his home in Galloway, Ohio. Joe was born Aug. 18, 1948, in New Kensington Hospital. He went to Springdale High School. Joe was a volunteer firefighter for 10 years at Cheswick Fire Department. He spent 67 years of his life living in Cheswick. He worked 30 years in the water filtration service, primarily for Tyler Mountain Water Co. Joe retired and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, as well as playing with his beloved German shorthair pointers (Star, Sara and Dewey). Joe loved the simple things in life, including relaxing on his porch and spending quality time with Betty. He enjoyed countless hours hunting and fishing with his son, Christopher, and grandson, Luke. He was an avid fisherman and part of the Lock 3 bass fishing club for many years, where he participated in bass fishing tournaments. Joe enjoyed spending time watching sports and going to the casino with his daughter, Lori. He enjoyed eating, especially his daughter-in-law's (Bop) cooking. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Nellie Wrona Musco; and sister, Carol Ballard. Joe is survived by his wife of 49 years, Betty L Fleming Musco; son, Christopher (Monica) Musco; daughter, Lori Musco; grandson, Luke Musco; sister, Barbara (Richard) Fedoush; brother, Paul (Verlene) Musco; brother-in-law, James Ballard; and numerous nieces and nephews. Everyone is welcomed to celebrate Joe's life from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018, in THE CHARLES B.
