Janice A. Pettruny

Janice A.(Smirga) Pettruny, 75, of Cheswick, passed away on December 14, 2017.  She was born to her parents, the late Stephen and Kathryn Sweeney Smirga and has been a lifelong resident of the community.  Mrs. Pettruny was of the Catholic faith and most recently had worked for and retired from Rebecca Residence in Wexford.  Janice enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading and watching television but most importantly loved the time she spent with her family and grandchildren.

Surviving her are loving children;

Daughters Anna (Barry) Brown of Cheswick

                 Dana (Darryl) Palmer of OH.

Son and caregiver Darin Pettruny of Cheswick

Three grandchildren Zachary, Megan and Kelsey

Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by a brother Stephen Smirga

Keeping with Janice’s request, services and burial were private for the immediate family.  Funeral preferences were in the care of THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC. 801 Pgh. St. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to The American Lung Association 11676 Perry Highway, Wexford Pa. 15090.
