Helen Kennedy Holliday

Helen Kennedy Holliday, 83, of Cheswick, died Monday, Aug. 6, 2018, in her home. She was born Dec. 16, 1934, in Pittsburgh, to the late Alexander "AW" and Claire Rude Kennedy, and she lived in Cheswick the past 83 years. She was a graduate of Mercyhurst College (now Mercyhurst University), also attending Grove City College and Point Park College. Helen was a retired business teacher for Har-Brack, then Highlands, for 33 years, where she was chairperson of the business department, director work/study program in business. Helen enjoyed her cats and, over the years, six collies. She also enjoyed traveling, having been to several countries, including Egypt, China and Morocco. She was a member of Cheswick Presbyterian Church. Survivors are her husband, Joseph W. Holliday; three nephews, Dr. Richard (Catherine) Dattola, of West Virginia, Christopher (Mary) Dattola, of Russellton, and Dr. Bradley Holliday, of Virginia; and two nieces, Paula (Ronald) Davidson, of South Carolina, and Jennifer (Jeffrey) Holliday-Buchanan, of Ohio.
