George Brangan Obituary

George G. Brangan, 54, of Springdale, passed away unexpectedly at home Saturday, June 9, 2018. He was the beloved son of the late George and Frances Pollino Brangan. George graduated from Springdale High School in 1982 and has been a lifelong member of the community. He enjoyed gardening and working outside in the yard. George loved to tinker around and try to fix things that were broken and always would lend a helping hand to anyone that needed it. He worked at The Springdale Cemetery and always took great pride in making it look so beautiful, especially for Memorial Day. George was a kind, gentle and happy man, especially after his Philadelphia Eagles had won the Super Bowl. Surviving him are his lifelong friend and partner, Mary Grinder Brangan; loving son, Gareth Brangan, as well as his faithful dog, Lucy; brother, Robert (Paula) Brangan; four sisters, Jeanette (Larry) Kozik, LouAnn (Daniel) Eufrasio, Kim Rago and Patty (Kevin) Williams; many nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Randy Eaton. Friends will be received from 9:30 until 11:15 a.m. Thursday, June 14, 2018, in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC., 801 Pittsburgh St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. in St. Alphonsus Church. Everyone is asked to please meet at church for Mass.
