Esther Jane (Griffith) Filer

Esther Jane Filer, 98, of Canton, Georgia formerly of Natrona Heights, passed away peacefully
on February 5, 2018 at Northside Cherokee Hospital. The daughter of the late Irwin and Cora
Thomas Griffith of Ebensburg, PA, she was a longtime resident of Springdale before relocating
with her daughters to Canton, Georgia. Jane was a member of the Springdale United
Presbyterian Church, and former church secretary. Jane enjoyed sewing, quilting and crafting
with her many friends and relished spending time with family.
Surviving her are daughters, Betty Jane Wilson, Carol Cullin and Susan Mamula, 4
grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband William G. Filer and 3
sisters and 4 brothers. Services and burial are private with interment at Lakewood Memorial
Gardens.
