Eleanor (Bandi) Wargo of Frazer Township died October 7, 2018 at the age of 83. She was born November 26, 1934, the daughter of the late William and Janice Kennedy Bandi and late sister Linda Yute. Eleanor was a lifelong resident of the area. She belonged to Walter Chapel United Methodist Church in Rural Ridge, where she held many different office positions over the years. Mrs. Wargo was in the church choir and involved in many activities over the many years. She enjoyed crocheting afghans for family and friends, making her infamous “Jesus” signs, and playing cards. She loved and enjoyed all her grandchildren, but she was especially close to Corey, Matthew and David. She had seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was the mother of Robert Wargo, David Wargo, Ernest Wargo, Edward (Julie) Wargo, Ellen (Robert) Bollinger and Eileen Wargo. She also was very great friends with Eileen McAllister for over 60 years.
Eleanor also leaves behind a friend, Karla. She stayed close to Eleanor and the family when she could have strayed.
In addition to her parents and sister, she is also preceded by a stepfather James Moody and her husband Ernest Wargo.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday October 9th from 3-5 and 7-9pm in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC. 801 Pgh. St. Services will commence on Wednesday at 10am in the funeral home and private burial to follow in Walter Chapel Cemetery.
