Dolores "DOLLY" Smid Sosovicka

Dolores “Dolly” J. (Smid) Sosovicka, 81, of Springdale passed away on Wednesday August 9, 2017 at Harmar Village. She was born on December 10, 1935 in Rahway, New Jersey to the late Charles and Elizabeth Smid. After graduating High School, Dolly went on to work for Westinghouse/Curtiss Wright as a Secretary until she retired in 1994. Dolly was a gentle soul whose greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her son Robert Potts of Springdale, her  three daughters Linda (Glenn) Brown of Wake Forest NC, Lori Land of Cheswick, Lisa Potts of Springdale, and her grandchildren Joel (Cole) Land, Micah and Moriah Land, Faith & Chris Carney, David Brown as well as her great grandchildren Rosette. She is preceded in death by her Husband Edward J. Sosovicka and her grandson Nathanael Land, her three sisters Betty Inklovich, Dorothy Clancy, and Frances Becker. Family will receive friends on Friday August 11, from 2-4 & 6-8 pm in CHESWICK at the Charles B. Jarvie Funeral Home Inc. 1607 Pittsburgh Street where services will be held Saturday morning at 10 am with burial to follow in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery Frazer Twp.
