David T. Strawoet

David T. Strawoet, 67, of Springdale Township, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018, at home. He was the son of the late Harry Strawoet and Patricia (Lochrane) Strawoet, and was a lifelong resident of the Springdale/Cheswick area. Dave graduated from Springdale High School in the Class of '69 and obtained an associate degree from Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He worked mainly in the printing industry. He was a member of the Krivan Hall Association. He enjoyed traveling to see his grandchildren. Surviving him are his wife of 42 years, Carolyn (DeSantis) Strawoet; and his daughters, Carla (Strawoet) Kelley (CDR Joshua), of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Leanna Strawoet, of Springdale Township. He also had two beloved grandchildren, Norah Mae and Grant Kelley. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Eric J. Strawoet, of Cheswick; and his brother, Kevin M. Strawoet, of Grand Canyon, Ariz. Per David's wishes, his funeral services were private. A celebration of life gathering for Dave will be announced at a future time and date.
