Daniel W. Fersch

Daniel William Fersch, of Cheswick, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018. Dan graduated with his bachelor's degree in English from Slippery Rock University in 2000. Dan loved to write and was gifted beyond his years. Prior to graduation, "Poeskilla", his pen name, was published in several scholarly publications. Upon graduation, Dan managed and owned several businesses and properties. He obtained his license in real estate and was always looking for his next big investment. Prior to his early departure from this world, he was a superintendent for Marco Contractors and was responsible for building several retail stores from the ground up. Dan was larger than life and his vibrant personality touched everyone in his presence. His keen ability to lighten up any situation made all others around him feel at home. Dan was known for his comedic personality and the ability to always make you laugh, even in the toughest of times. He loved his family more than anything and they will truly miss him more than words can describe. Dan is survived by his wife, Rechelle Goins Fersch; son, Cabin Daniel; daughter, Cambra Rose; his mother, Tammy Hoover and her husband, Bob Hoover; his sister, Jessica Barder and husband, Kyle; his brother, Anthony Hoover and his wife, Kristie; his father, Michael Fersch and his wife, Karen Lydon-Fersch; his sister, Jenniffer Fersch; his brother, Ryan Fersch and his partner, Rachel Collinge; and his sister, Stephanie Muller and her husband, Steven. Dan's many nieces and nephews are Olivia, Abbie, Quinn, Bray, Hunter, Lyra, Harper, Gabriel, Dylan and Penelope. His family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, at THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC., 801 Pittsburgh St. All are welcome to attend.
