Charles M. Zimmerman, 87, of Harmar Township, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018, at Good Samaritan Hospice, Cabot. He was born March 5, 1931, in Pittsburgh to the late Miller and Elma Shakespeare Zimmerman, and was a resident of Harmar since 1958. A retired steelworker for Jones and Laughlin, Charles served in the Army during the Korean War, and was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church and Polish Club, both of Harwick. He enjoyed bowling and golfing. Surviving are his two sons, Charles J. (Kathy) Zimmerman, of Franklin Park, and Albert E. (Kim) Zimmerman, of Sarver; his two grandchildren, Melissa (Matt) Troy and Ben Zimmerman; and four great-grandchildren, Alexis, Kamryn, Emily and Brooke. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Zimmerman; and three brothers. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018, in the CHARLES B. JARVIE CHESWICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1607 Pittsburgh St. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2018, in Our Lady of Victory Church, Harwick. Everyone is asked to meet at the church.
