Charlene Sue Borland of Springdale, PA passed away peacefully on January 17, 2019 at Belair Nursing Home in Lower Burrell, PA. Charlene lived a fulfilling life not only through the Lord but also being very involved with her family. A graduate of Springdale High School in 1968, she moved on to graduate from Grove City College in 1972 with a bachelors in Biology. Charlene spent some time working as an EMT with Lower Valley Ambulance service, worked for the state of Pennsylvania as an account auditor in Harrisburg, billing coordinator for Thrift Drug and then finally retired from JCPenney catalog center. One of her proudest moments was traveling to China to deliver the word of the Lord by delivering bibles, which was not an easy task. Charlene was very intelligent and loved reading, traveling, watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, and spending much time with her 8 nieces and nephews and 15 great nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her mother and father Esther and Charles Borland, her grandparents and many Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Ms. Borland is survived by her two sisters Barbara (Keith) Shoop of Springdale, PA and Judy (Don) Augustine of North Versailles, PA., all her nieces and nephews, and her loving pups in the family that she adored. The family would like to thank Belair Nursing Home staff for the wonderful care and attention given to Charlene as well as Heritage Hospice for the comfort and support. Miss Borland’s family will receive friends for visitation on Monday January 21, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8pm in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC. 801 Pgh.
