Carl W. Wilson Jr., 77, of Springdale Township, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 29, 2018, at home, with his loving family at his side. Carl was born May 6, 1940, to his parents, the late Carl and Nina Gregory Wilson Sr., and has been a lifelong resident of the community. Carl worked for the former Allegheny Label Co. for 34 years before joining the Hampton School District, where he eventually retired. Throughout his lifetime, Carl enjoyed hunting and camping with his family. He also loved to work outside in his yard, which he kept meticulous. He cherished the many years he spent with his dog, "Missy," and adored his many grandchildren. Surviving him are his loving wife, Gloria Marsh Wilson; sons, Steve Wilson, of Lower Burrell, and Raymond (Laurie) Arch, of Harwick; daughters, Sherry (Jim) Hicks, of O'Hara, Audrey (David) Thomas, of Parks Township, and Brenda (Brian) Baierl, of Tarentum; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, Carl was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Wilson, and a sister, Mary Lou Bertelli. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2018, by Pastor Dean Ward of The River, New Kensington, in the CHARLES B.
