Mary Bassetti

Mary Bassetti 96, of Harwick, passed away peacefully at home with her family at her side. She was born on September 7, 1919 to her parents, the late Stephen and Stella Stanic Mochanski and has been a lifelong resident of the community.Before retirement, Mrs. Bassetti worked as an inspector at PPG Glass division in Creighton for 35 years and was a member of Our Lady of Victory RC Church in Harwick. She enjoyed playing bingo, cooking and working at her son's bar, the Bears Inn, loved the time she spent with her great grandchildren and enjoyed dancing, especially with her husband years ago. Survivors include: Daughter Rose Marie (Michael) Palochick of Harwick Daughter Bernadette Bassetti of Harwick Daughter Patricia (Stan) Lawrence of Russellton Son Lawrence Bassetti of Harwick Son David (Tracy) Bassetti of Freeport Son Thomas Bassetti of Harwick Grandchildren Susan Butela, Dana Strellec, Michael and 'Steven Palochick Great grandchildren Justin McGreary, Joseph Butela and Chelsea ( Phil) Knittle. 2 brothers Joseph Mochanski of Tarentum John (Carol) Mochanski of Mercer She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lawrence(Spaghetti) Bassetti, a son Robert Strellec,3 sisters and 4 brothers. Family and friends will be received Monday 2-4-6-8 pm in CHESWICK at the CHARLES B. JARVIE FUNERAL HOME INC. 1607 Pittsburgh St. Christian funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10-am in Our Lady of Victory Church by the Rev. Alan Morris.
