Jeffery A."Dinky" Estvanik, 67, of Cheswick, passed away on Tuesday October 11, 2016 at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital. He was born on July 22, 1949 in Indiana Pa. to his parents, the late Joseph and Elizabeth Keim Estvanik and has been a lifelong resident of the community. Jeff served in The U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War as a Radio Operator. After his discharge, he worked for Allegheny Ludlum for 35 years in the melt shop, where he eventually retired. Jeff was of the Catholic faith and always had a great sense of humor, he was quick witted, always quick to tell a joke and laugh aloud with friends. He was kind, thoughtful, always willing to lend a helping hand, and was a great dad. He belonged to the Springdale Sportsman Club, Polish Club and the Krivan Hall Association. He enjoyed watching all Pittsburgh sports teams, hunting, fishing, golfing with his son in law, family and friends and especially watching Springdale High School soccer games. Surviving him are: Daughter Christine (Brian) Godfrey of Cheswick Brother Dennis Estvanik of Springdale Twp. Niece Amanda (Mike) Puskar of Cheswick Grand puppy McLovin Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister Cindy Estvanik and his nephew Jason Estvanik Friends will be received on Friday October 14th from 2-4 and 6-8pm in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC. 801 Pgh. St. where services will commence on Saturday at 10am with burial to follow in Allegheny County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to The Jason Joseph Estvanik Scholarship Fund, Pittsburghfoundation.org/node/1756. Checks payable to Pittsburgh Foundation.
