Roberta Grabowski, 88, of New Kensington, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, in Allegheny Health Network, Natrona Heights. She was born Aug. 23, 1929, in Newfield, to the late Robert and Elizabeth Black Simpson, and had lived in the Alle-Kiski valley most of her life. She was a member of Logans Ferry Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her daughter, Karen (Richard) Matisz, of Harmar Township; her son, John (Mary Anne) Grabowski, of New Kensington; six grandchildren, Robert, Marc, Scott, Michael and Patrick Grabowski and Clayton Matisz; her great-granddaughter, Baileigh Matisz; also several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Grabowski; two sisters, Elizabeth (Ed) Homa and Anne (Lee) Stover; and a brother, William (Genieve) Simpson. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, in Springdale, at the CHARLES B. JARVIE FUNERAL HOME INC., 801 Pittsburgh St. where services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Robert Henry officiating, with burial next to her husband in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
