Rita Common, 65, of Springdale Twp., passed away on Thursday January 19, 2017. She was born on July 22, 1951 and has been a lifelong member of the community. She enjoyed baking, reading, gardening and spending as much time with her family as she could. Rita was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church of Cheswick. She is survived by her children; Charles Common of Cheswick; Christine (Dustin) Majewski of Penn Hills, Lisa (Rick) Reed of Lansing, MI. Grandchildren Justin, Derek, Jessica, Kayla, Aj and Owen. Great-grandchildren Shianne and Viiola. A sister; Judy Way and Edward Cyphert, both of Missouri. She was preceded in death by her husband John, parents and siblings. She will be missed dearly.
Friends will be received on Monday January 23rd from 2-4 and 6-8pm in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC. 801 Pgh. St. where services will commence at 10am on Tuesday with her pastor Rev. Dennis Robb. and burial to follow in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Dorseyville.
