Linda S. (Koedel) Hutzel Francis

Linda S. Hutzel Francis, entered into the presence of the lord on Tuesday May 23^rd, 2017 with her family by her side.  She was born on January 2, 1954 to her parents, the late Louis and Zita O’Malley Koedel and has been a lifelong resident of the valley.  Linda graduated from Highlands High School in 1972.  She served her country in The U.S. Marines where she was honorably discharged.  After the service, she worked for M-J Management food industry and then an image specialist for UPMC St. Margaret where she eventually retired.  Linda enjoyed reading, puzzles, miniature golfing and especially being with her grandchildren.  Surviving her are:

Loving husband Kent R. Francis of Creighton

Son David (Mollie) Hutzel of VA.

Grandchildren Tess, Claire and Jack

4 Sister’s; Adele Hostettler of Ind., Claudia (Steve) Rubin of Fla., Phyllis Koedel of AZ., Barbara Evans of Fla.

Twin Brother Louis Koedel of Bristol Pa.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters; Marjorie Allshouse and Wilma Stoltz and two brothers; Kenneth and Donald Koedel.

Friends will be received on Sunday May 28^th from 2-4 and 6-8pm in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC. 801 Pgh. St.  Services will start at 10am Monday in St. Mark’s Lutheran Church (Please meet at church) with her Pastor Tricia Schneck officiating.  Burial will follow Privately on Tuesday in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery with military honors.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark’s Church 600 Pgh. St 15144.
