Kenneth Lyle Checkeye

Kenneth “Lyle” Checkeye, 79, of Harwick, passed away on Thursday February 2, 2017.  He was born in Timblin Pa. to his parents, the late Ted and Edna Mae Ferringer Checkeye and has been a lifelong member of the community.  Mr. Checkeye owned and operated Checkeye LPG Carb. In Springdale where he loved working with his hands.  Lyle had an inventive spirt and could build and/or repair anything that came his way no matter how big or small the project.  Lyle would go out of his way to satisfy his customers and was one of the first companies to offer alternative fuel options for engines.  He enjoyed fishing, especially going to Erie for walleye on his boat.

Surviving him are his loving wife of 58 years: Lillian Wardoclip Checkeye

Brother Don (Maryann) Checkeye of Tarentum

Grandchildren Alyssa and Jaelynn of Hagerstown MD.

Nieces and nephews

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother Paul Checkeye and sister-in-law Eileen of Fort Worth TX.

Friends will be received on Sunday February 5^th from 2pm until 5pm in THE CHARLES B JARVIE CHESWICK FUNERAL HOME INC. 1607 PGH. St where services will commence on Monday at 11am. Entombment will follow in Union Cemetery, Arnold.  Memorial contributions may be made to Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley 533 Linden Ave. New Ken, Pa. 15068
