Joseph “Tiger” Misutka Jr., 89, of Springdale, passed away on Wednesday June 7, 2017. He was born in Springdale on February 11, 1928 to his parents, the late Joseph and Mary Secora Misutka Sr. and has been a lifelong resident of our community. Mr. Misutka served his country in The U.S. Navy and was a proud Veteran. After his honorable discharge, he worked for PPG Industries in Springdale for 43 years where he eventually retired. Tiger was a member of St. Alphonsus Church and the Krivan Hall Association in Springdale, he enjoyed golfing with his friends and had two holes-in-one during his lifetime.
Surviving him are his children
Son Joseph Misutka III of Ohio
Daughter Rose Mary (Ron) Noe of Mass.
Daughter Stephanie (Michael) Kaskan of Spring Church
Sister Helen (Frank) Mento of Indiana Twp.
Granddaughter Vanessa (Dan) Stack of Butler
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his loving wife Mary Jane and brother Steve Misutka.
Friends will be received on Friday June 9th from 4-7pm in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC. 801 Pgh. St. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning June 10th at 10am in St. Alphonsus Church with The Rev. Kenneth Kezmarsky officiating. (Everyone is asked to please meet at the church.)
Burial will follow in Deer Creek Cemetery.
