Joanne (Puskar) Mitas

Joanne Mitas, 73, of Cheswick, died Wednesday January 3, 2018 at home. She was born April 10, 1944 in New Kensington to the late Joseph & Ann Schultz Puskar and was a life-            long resident all of her live. A member of St. Alphonsus R.C. Church in Springdale. Joanne had her real estate license, was a Ward Clerk for the former Citizens General Hospital and a Secretary for Techlane Manufacturing until her long term illness. She was a very avid animal lover. Survivors are her loving  husband, James Mitas, her two sisters; Shirley (Merrill) Cochran of Louisville Kentucky, Janice Puskar of Florida, and her brother Joseph (Debbie) Puskar of Natrona Heights. Joanne is preceded in death by her parents.

Her family will receive friends on Friday January 5, 2018 from 2-8 pm in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC. 801 Pittsburgh Street. Christian Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 10 am in St. Alphonsus Church with the Rev Ken Kezmarsky officiating with entombment following in Deer Creek Cemetery, Harmar Twp. Memorial Contributions may be made in her name to Animal Protectors 533 Linden Street New Kensington Pa. 15068.
