Janet L. Ilgenfritz, 102, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 10, at Amber Woods assisted living facility in Cheswick, PA.
Janet was born April 30, 1914, to John & Stella Ambrose of Springdale, PA. She grew up in Springdale before moving to York, PA where she married her husband, Ralph J. Ilgenfritz and worked as the Chief Deputy County Controller at the York County Courthouse.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents, and her husband, Ralph.
She was a devout Catholic and attended St. Alphonsus Church in Wexford, PA. She also volunteered at the Springdale Public Library. Janet had a contagious smile and was a blessing to all who knew her. She will be missed.
Per her request, there will not be a service. She will have a private burial at Mt. Rose Cemetery in York, PA.
