Irene B. Charles

Irene B. Charles, 88, formerly of Springdale, died Tuesday,  March 21, 2017 at KANE Regional Center-Scott Township. She was born August 8, 1928 to the late Stefan and Etelka Vince Becsi. She was a member of the Hungarian Reformed Church in Springdale and was a member of the William Penn Association. She enjoyed Hungarian cooking, baking and knitting. Survivors include two sons, James Charles of Greensburg and George Charles, Jr. (Dianne), of Scott Township; three grandchildren, James, Matthew (Lynn) and Steve Charles; and a great-granddaughter, Teagan Charles. Beside her husband George, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Steve, Frank , John and Eugene Becsi. Friends will be received from 9 to 11 am Thursday March 23 at the Charles B. Jarvie Funeral Home Inc. 801 Pittsburgh Street Springdale, where services will commence at 11 am with burial to follow in Deer Creek Cemetery Harmar Twp. Irene’s family would like to offer a special thank you to all the wonderful people at KANE for their kind and compassionate care.
