Helen A. Olearchick

Helen Olearchick 89, of Springdale, passed away on Wednesday September 13, 2017.  She was born on November 14, 1927 in Bairdford to her parents, the late Urban and Mary Kurtik Kristoff and has been a lifelong resident of the community.  Helen worked as a clerk at Thrifty Dry Cleaners in Springdale for 42 years before retiring.  She was a member of St. Alphonsus Church where she belonged to The Catholic Daughters of America and The Ladies of Charity organizations, as well as a greeter and usher. 

Surviving her are:

Daughters Katherine (Michael) Powell of Monroville

                    Francine (Bryan) Gulski of S.C.

Son Anthony (Margie) Olearchick of Moon Twp.

Grandchildren Michael R. (Carol) Powell II, Dyan (Craig) Larkins and Samantha Olearchick

Brother Edward (Carol) Kristoff of Springdale

Sister Margaret Marsh of Ohio

Nieces and nephews

Besides her parents, Helen was also preceded in death by her husband Frank Olearchick; Two brothers John and Andy Kristoff.

Friends will be received on Sunday September 17^th from 2-4 and 6-8pm in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC. 801 Pgh. St.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday September 18^th at 10am in St. Alphonsus Church with The Rev. Kenneth Kezmarsky officiating and burial to follow in Deer Creek Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Helen’s name to The St. Alphonsus Memorial Fund.
