Gloria J . (Shoop) Renaldi

Gloria J. (Shoop) Renaldi, Passed away peacefully in her home with family by her side on Sunday evening, November 6, 2016. She was 90 years old and a lifelong resident of Springdale and belonged to the vast Shoop family who owned Shoop's Restaurant in Springdale for 80+ years. Growing up in a restaurant instilled her love of cooking and baking. Friends and family loved her famous nut rolls and cookies, which the recipe is still a family secret! She was a loving mother and a fantastic grammy and G.G. Summers were spent with the grandkids at her summer campground or enjoyed day long car trips throughout Pennsylvania and always with sleepovers. Gloria was a member of Springdale Manor for 24 years, where she was the president of the building council for many years. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents George and Ida Shoop, her husband Dennis; children; Barbie and Joe; and 12 brother's and sister's. Gloria is survived by four of her six children; Toni(Reid) Baker, Darlene (Terry) Bossola, Denny (Sandy) Renaldi and Traci (Chris) Sowinski. In addition, 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, all of whom will miss her dearly. A celebration of life service will be held at 11am on Friday November 11, 2016 in the Springdale United Presbyterian Church. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Springdale U.P. Church.
