Charles J. Kozel

Charles J. Kozel, 73, of Springdale, passed away at home on August 19, 2017.  He was born on December 20, 1943 to his parents, the late Jacob and Catherine Kostick Kozel and has been a longtime resident of the community.  Mr. Kozel graduated from New Ken High School in 1961 and served in The U.S. Marines from 1961-1965.  After his discharge from the Marines, he worked as an millwright for the former Edgewater Steel in Oakmont where he eventually retired.  Charles was a member of St. Alphonsus Church and the Loyal Order of Moose #53.  He enjoyed drawing, listening to music and especially watching sports.

Surviving him are his loving wife of 36 years Mary Ann (Jonczak) Kozel

Son James Charles (Stephanie) Kozel of Bellefonte

Daughter Danielle Lynn Kozel

As well as several grandchildren, brothers in law and sisters in law

Besides his parents, Charles was also preceded in death by his first wife Linda Leskovec and a brother Richard.

Friends will be received Tuesday August 22^nd in THE CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC. 801 Pgh. St.  Mass of Christian Burial will commence at 10am Wednesday by The Rev. Kenneth Kezmarsky with burial to follow in Union Cemetery, Arnold.  Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the charity of one’s choice.
