Alice V. (Slabe) McNutt

Alice V. (Slabe) McNutt, 90, of Springdale, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 5, 2016.  She was the daughter of the late Steve and Anna Usjag Slabe, both Hungarian immigrants from Clarion County.  Alice was raised in Rimersburg and graduated from Maple Grove High School before moving to the Valley where she was a lifelong member of the community.  She loved to cook and was the best pie maker ever!  Alice also enjoyed crocheting, reading, needlework, crafts and quilting, gardening and was a talented seamstress as well as the best mom ever. 

Surviving her are daughter Nancy (Ray) Valentine of Springdale

Sister Rosemary Shaffer of Erie

Loving son-in-law Raymond Valentine Jr.

As well as many nieces and nephews

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Albert A. McNutt

Daughters Diane, Eileen and Mary Ann

Sibling’s Ann, Steve, Elizabeth, Helen, Gizzella, Glen and Emma.

She will be sadly missed by Nancy and Ray, Rosemary, Sylvia, Bill Murray, Bill Shaper, Mike Smith, Sherri Hrovat, Travis Amoriese and caregivers Jim, Shirley, Shamieka, Grace, Cristen, Drew and Mary.

Alice will be forever with the Lord, Forever loved and missed by all who knew her as well as her pets Chloe and Lucy.
